It is impossible to get an appointment with any doctor, except for the two newest doctors who seem to be the only options anymore. I've not seen my actual doctor for nearly 5 years. Ridiculous.As others have said, there is one telephone line only which is impossible to get through on, and if you do somehow get lucky, you are generally spoken to rudely and abruptly. As a person who suffers from heavy depression, the fact this is such an enormous task to get anywhere means that half the time you just don't bother and suffer in silence instead, which causes more depression and upset, let alone health problems.
This place is severely short staffed as they say and never picks up the calls when in need. And when they pick up the call after 15 min, no help!
I shall be reporting this surgery to the Government and Local Council. They are an NHS organisation so they don't get to behave how they do. How would they like it...If I behaved like that to my customers I would be out of work. AND Answer the phone and provide a service. Add more staff if necessary!
The receptionists are horrible goblin people. They treat you as though they are being terribly put out by your requests, that is if they ever actually answer the phone. They have misinformed me on several occasions and wasted mine, and other patients time by booking me an appointment when it could have been done over the phone. I literally dread having to see their sour faces contort at me when i ask a question. Which is really not nice when you ill and you suffer from mental health issues. The only saving grace is the doctors. They are lovely.
i find it amazing that people who work as receptionists can have such a rude telephone manner. you'd think that would be their key skill, apparently not. they never seem to answer their phones and when they do seem annoyed you've call them?? doctors are really good and give you their time if you live long enough to get through their door as appointment can be two weeks away!
